"Tysa" confiscated the truck with hidden contraband cigarettes
Chop border detachment continues to implement a set of measures to combat smuggling.
Thus, last night, officers of the State Border Guard Service and the State Fiscal Service detained a truck "RENAULT" that tried to carry a consignment of smuggled cigarettes across the state border.
Heading to Hungary through the checkpoint "Tisa", the driver was carrying fuel beech firewood. During the in-depth inspection, employees of the crossing point found in the cargo cigarettes "MarlboroGold" in amount of 2720 packs worth 59,840 UAH and "KENT HD" in amount of 1410 packs worth 31,020 UAH with Ukrainian excise stamps. The contraband was hidden in a specially rectangular cache in the front wall of the trailer.
Border guards reported the discovery of the cigarettes to officers of the Security Service for further investigation.
The semi-truck and the cigarettes were seized. The total estimated cost of the seized property is over 330,000 UAH.
