Transcarpathian Regional Music and Drama Theater launches the 70th theater season
October 16th, the largest theater of the region will begin its jubilee theatrical season. At 18.00, the Transcarpathian Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater invites you to see a vaudeville "Turkish shawl" (based on the works by H.Kvitka-Osnovyanenko), which premiered on March 27, the International Day of Theatre. According to the management of the theater, several premieres are planned in the anniversary season. In November, the compony will present the production of the play "Nice Summer in Paris" by Oleksandr Havrosh based on diaries and autobiographical novels of famous Transcarpathian artist Adalbert Erdelyi. In winter, the theater plans to present the musical comedy "Adventures of the Good Soldier Schweik", which the director, honored artist of Ukraine Vasyl Shershun has already started working on.
It is likely that on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the theater, the directors will turn to the creative heritage of their patrons - Yuriy-Augustine and Yevhen Sherehiys. So far, only one of their plays has been staged - "Tango for You." Now they are consider the historical drama "Golden Sword".
Also, before the ceremonial opening of the season, on October 15, the theater will perform in Beregovo city house of culture with the latest premiere "What do willows weep about?", and on 21-23 of October, the theater will tour in Rakhiv with the performances "Bohdan Khmelnytsky" and "Mowgli".
