The memory of Heroes will be perpetuated in Transcarpathia
The program of the Transcarpathian regional branch of the search and publishing agency "Memory Book of Ukraine", the editorial and publishing group of the regional book "Rehabilitated by History" and the editorial board for the preparation and release of the "Compilation of historical and cultural monuments of Transcarpathian region" for 2016 has been approved in the region. The program will be funded at the expense of the regional budget. The total amount of the funds required for 2016 is 529,500 UAH.
The main purpose of the program is to perpetuate the memory of Transcarpathians who were victims of World War II, the Nazi occupation and repression, and patriots who died defending the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine in the area of the ATO in 2014 - 2015.
In order to perpetuate the memory of the innocent victims of repression during the Soviet totalitarian regime, the editorial and publishing group of the regional book "Rehabilitated by History" plans to complete the search of necessary materials and compilation of the fundamental collection of archival documents entitled "Strengthening of mass political repressions against residents of Transcarpathia in the early postwar years. 1947 - 1953."
The editorial board of the "Compilation of historic and cultural monuments of Transcarpathian region" in their work for the preparation of the volume aims to complete a thorough analysis and systematization of materials that will be made into the Compilation, to submit them for approval to the Division of Historical and Cultural Monuments of the Culture Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. The approved materials will be sent to the main editorial board of the "Compilation of historical and cultural monuments of Ukraine" and posted on its website.
