Painters from all over Ukraine will be competing in Erdelyi's homeland (Announcement)
From 21 to 23 of October, the First nationwide contest of painting named after Adalbert Erdelyi will be held in Uzhgorod. The creative competition, which has a chance to become a cultural calling card of the region, is launched by the Transcarpathian Art Institute - in honor of the 70th anniversary of the first art institution in the region which will be celebrated in March 2016.
The purpose of the contest is to support gifted students, to promote self-realization and creative development of young people, promote Transcarpathian school of painting, and to improve the quality of education, educational process, to enhance learning activities of students, to exchange experiences between teachers on traditional and modern methods of fine art teaching.
This year's competition will be attended by representatives of 11 higher educational institutions of Ukraine: National Academy of Art and Architecture (Kyiv), Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, Luhansk National University of Shevchenko, Kyiv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Art and Design of M. Boychuk, Poltava National Pedagogical University of V. Korolenko, Khmelnytsky Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy, Poltava Technical University of Yu.Kondratyuk, Odesa State Academy of Construction and Architecture, Kosovo Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts, Lviv National Academy of Sciences, Kherson State University and the Transcarpathian Art Institute. In total, 26 participants are registered.
So, on October 21, at 15.00, in the lecture hall of the Transcarpathian Art Institute (A. Voloshin st., 37), there will be the official opening of the event, the creative competition will take place on October 22, and on October 23, at 11.00, in the village of Nevytske in Uzhgorod district in the hall of a hotel-restaurant complex (Uzhanska st., 28), there will be the summing up of the First nationwide contest of painting named after Adalbert Erdelyi.
