NBU can partially cancel currency restrictions

On October 21, the National Bank of Ukraine may announce the start of the promised gradual cancellation of restrictive administrative measures in the foreign exchange market.

This was written by the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Yulia Kuznetsova on her Facebook page, the ZN.UA repoerted.

"...We expect that on Wednesday the National Bank will alleviate the currency regulation" - Kuznetsova wrote.

Earlier, the head of the National Bank Valeria Gontareva said that the NBU was ready to start the abolition of administrative currency restrictions soon, but the IMF does not allow it yet.

It was also reported that the NBU expects agreements with creditors to start lowering currency restrictions.

Currently, Ukraine has already received the consent of creditors to restructure the debt.
