From 1 to 31 of October, the month of voluntary surrender of weapons, ammunition, explosives and special devices takes place in the region. Citizens once again have the opportunity to voluntarily surrender to the police weapons that is kept in violation of applicable law.
If you have an unregistered firearm, you should contact the police with the appropriate application. Employees of the permit system will give you expert advice.
The aim of the operation is not only to seize unregistered firearms and ammunition, but also to officially register it for citizens who voluntarily surrender weapons in accordance with the law.
Violation of legislation on arms trafficking provides for administrative and criminal liability. Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition and explosives) provides for imprisonment from 2 to 5 years.
Persons who voluntarily surrender unregistered weapons are exempted from criminal and administrative liability.
During the period of the aforementioned operation, citizens have surrendered to the permit system department of Vynogradiv district police a shotgun and three gas pistols.
