In Mizhhirya district, rescuers found six mushroom hunters that got lost in the woods

In the evening on October 4, in a wooded area near the village of Svoboda in Mizhhirya district, a group of six people got lost.

 Four adults aged 37 to 55 years, a 17-year-old boy and a child born in 2004 got lost while picking mushrooms.

They came to Mizhhirya district for vacation from the city of Vynogradiv. Having left the village of Svoboda, the mushroom pickers went the wrong way and soon got lost. At 17:50, they called the rescue service.

Professionals of Mizhhirya mountain search and rescue department went to search for the mushroom pickers. By telephone, rescuers found out that the residents of Vynogradiv in search of mushrooms reached the old border between Poland and Czechoslovakia. The rescuers advised them not to go anywhere, and at 20:00 the whole group was found there.

The people were taken to the village of Svoboda, where they took a bus home. None of the group members needed medical assistance.
