A Slovak lost his "Skoda Octavia" because of hidden 100 packs of cigarettes
The foreigner was returning from Ukraine to Slovakia. To cross the border and pass customs control, he chose the customs post "Maly Berezny" of the Transcarpathian customs office. He was driving a car "Skoda Octavia", released of 2005, with registration license plate of Slovakia. The driver chose simplified customs control lane "green corridor" for customs clearance.
Before the customs control, the citizen orally stated that there were no items hidden from customs control or prohibited for export from Ukraine in his car.
Customs officers decided to take the vehicle out of the "green corridor" and send it to the "red" one. In the course of in-depth inspection of the car, they found in the rear bumper domestically made cigarettes with excise stamps of Ukraine hidden from customs control in amount of 100 packs.
The foreigner admitted that the cigarettes were his property.
Thus, the Slovak citizen committed acts aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control.
These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
The tobacco products and the vehicle were seized.
