A drunk cafe visitor was arrested by the police

A drunk resident of Uzhgorod nearly punched a police officer on the head and using his connections threatened to have a group of police officers put in jail.

In Uzhgorod, around 18.00, the central monitoring station at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region received an alarm signal from an Uzhgorod cafe, located on Zaliznychna street. The detention group of the State Protection Service was immediately sent to the scene.

Police officers arrived at the cafe in two minutes. It turned out that help was needed by the institution employees - the bartender informed that there was a bully in the cafe.

- Being drunk, the unknown citizen was speaking foul language, bothering citizens and employees of the institution, interfering with their work. We asked him to stop hooliganism, but he did not listen. Then we pressed the "alarm" button - the employee of the cafe told.

The offender was detained. He was taken to Uzhgorod city police department for further inquiries into the incident and taking an appropriate procedural decision. Currently, the investigation continues.
