A significant arsenal of ammunition was found over the last two days in Rakhiv district, near the village of Lazeshchyna. On September 30, the rescue service received a report from a man, who had gone into the woods 3 km from the village to pick mushrooms, and found two explosive devices.
Bomb experts of the rescue squad of special purpose, having arrived the next day to the scene, conducted a control inspection of the area and found more than two dozen items of ammunition.
The experts identified the found explosives as two artillery shells of 152 mm caliber and 24 artillery shells of 76 mm caliber. They had been laying under ground since the Second World War. The munitions were transported to the marble quarry "Trybushany" in the village of Dilove and defused at 18:00.
Be careful while resting in the forest, because any time you can come across explosives.
