Transcarpathian soldiers at the front will soon receive a night vision device, a monocular, more than two dozen sets of thermal underwear, backpacks for water (so-called camelbacks) and harnesses.
The deputy head of the Regional State Administration Mykhailo Rivis gave the necessary supplies for the soldiers to the commander of the mountain infantry battalion of the 128th Brigade Andriy Dzhus.
Special devices were sent to Transcarpathian defenders by a native of Vynogradiv, a businessman who now lives in the United States, Anatoly Chyzmar.
- Our fellow Transcarpathian actively helps soldiers in the ATO area with equipment, - Mykhailo Rivis said. - I wish our patriot would not have to worry about such things, that this equipment would not be needed, that there would be peace at last, and our boys come home alive and healthy.
The soldiers of the mountain infantry battalion are currently serving at the front line near the city of Shchastya. According to the commander, these gifts are now needed very much: "We can not complain about the food - we have everything we need. But there is a lack of equipment, especially optics, particularly night vision. And the thermal underwear will be very useful, because in the east nights are cold, sometimes to eight degrees below zero."
The colonel thanked the benefactor for his support and promised to personally deliver the equipment to soldiers, because he is heading to the east to his battalion.
