As you know, the meeting of the Transcarpathian Regional Council of the new, seventh convocation did not take place today. The deputies planned to elect the Chairman of the Regional Council.

However, the Governor and a Regional Council deputy Hennadiy Moskal said that he had had an urgent conversation with the President and must go to Kyiv.

Also he made it clear that soon the leader of the regional branch of the BPP "Solidarnist" would be replaced - implying apparently the resignation of Valeriy Patskan, who until now has been heading the presidential political force in the region.

Probably, it is these upheavals and the absence of the final arrangements on the majority in the Regional Council that the failure of the today's session is connected to. Recall that the deputies from the BPP and the majority of the party "Vidrodzhennya" did not come to the meeting, therefore there was no quorum.

As reported by the press service of the Regional Council, the next plenary meeting of the Regional Council will be held on December 1 at 10:00 - this decision was taken by the Presidium of the Regional Council.

Today, the deputies discussed the issues of the registration and participation of deputies in the session on the basis of cards or other documents. In total, during such registration, 21 deputies were present in the hall.

Also, during the meeting it was suggested that representatives of all factions should meet and agree on the election of the leadership of the Regional Council.
