In Volovets district, former Party of Regions member was elected the chairman of the district council
The first plenary meeting of the first session of Volovets district council of the VII convocation took place. It was attended by 23 newly elected deputies of the district council. As our edition reported, political opponents - the ruling party "Solidarnist" and the party, which in Transcarpathia is managed by MP Mykhailo Lanyo, "Vidrodzhennya" - formed the coalition in Volovets district council. Together they have 14 of the 26 parliamentary seats. 10 - "Vidrodzhennya" and 4 - "Solidarnist".
The coalition nominated for the post of the district council chairman Ivan Lopita, a member of the "Vidrodzhennya", who during the regime of Yanukovych worked as the first deputy head of Volovets district state administration. 14 deputies voted for him.
The "United Center", which won four parliamentary seats, three deputies from the "Batkivshchyna", 3 representatives of the party "Nash Krai", and 3 deputies of the "Opposition bloc" will be in the minority.
