On the flood situation in Transcarpathia as of 20:00 on November 21

The State Emergencies Service reports the latest information on the situation in the region (as of 20.00).

The liquidation of the aftermath of the flooding of some settlements in the basins of mountain rivers in Transcarpathian region continues.

The works on elimination of consequences of the mud stream and restoration of traffic on the highway Mukachevo-Rohatyn between the villages of Bilyn and Kvasy Rakhiv district continue. According to the specified data, 315 households are flooded, including 144 residential houses in Mizhhirya, Rakhiv, Tyachiv, Irshava districts. The village of Kobyletska Polyana in Rakhiv district, the town of Dubove, the village of Ust-Chorna and the village of Novoselytsia in Tyachiv district are partly disconnected from the power supply.


The water level continues to drop down from the peak marks within the following settlements: the village of Kolochava in Mizhhirya district (down by 80 cm), the city of Rakhiv (80 cm), the village of Ust-Chorna (70 cm) and the village of Uhlya (50 cm) in Tyachiv district.

According to the Ukrainian Weather Center, within the next day, rain with sleet are expected in the mountain districts of Transcarpathia. The monitoring of hydrological situations in river basins, where there is a threat of flooding of settlements, is being conducted. The situation is under constant control of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine.
