Liquidation continues: the flood situation in Transcarpathia as of 10.00

The Stare Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region reports on the situation.

The liquidation of the aftermath of the flooding of some settlements in the basins of mountain rivers in Transcarpathian region continues.

The traffic on the highway "Mukachevo - Rohatyn" has been resumed. Power supply to all settlements of Tyachiv and Rakhiv districts has been restored.

315 households, including 144 residential houses in Mizhhirya, Tyachiv and Rakhiv districts, remain flooded.

Forces and means of civil defense of district state administrations, State Emergencies Service units, the National Police, road organizations and the Tisa river basin water resources management in total amount of 220 people and 50 vehicles are engaged in flood protection works.

Units of the State Emergenies Service of Ukraine pumped out about 300 cubic meters of water out of 25 households and 17 residential houses.

The monitoring of hydrological situations in river basins, where there is a threat of flooding of settlements, is being conducted. In all mountain tributaries of the Tisa, water level continues to decline.

According to the Ukrainian Weather Center, within the next day, precipitation in the form of rain, in mountainous areas - wet snow are expected in Transcarpathia. In the lower reaches of the Tisa river, near the town of Vylok and the city of Chop through, the increase of water level with the release of water on the floodplain is expected.

The situation is under constant control of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine.
