Life goes on after the election, or a little bit about Vynogradiv local politics 2015

Who will head the city council, town and village councils, and who will meet in Vynogradiv district council and represent our district in the Transcarpathian Regional Council? Only facts!

Let’s begin with Vynogradiv mayor. The current Mayor Stepan Bochkay once again (the third time) with a huge margin was elected the mayor for the next term.  85 percent of voters voted for him. Total voter turnout in Vynogradiv was 49.7 percent.

Vynogradiv City Council.

Four political forces overcame 5-percent barrier in Vynogradiv: "Vidrodzhennya", BPP "Solidarnist", "KMKS", "United Center".  The number of city deputies has been reduced – instead of 37, it will be 26. So among the newly elected city deputies, the representation is as follows: 17 – "Vidrodzhennya", 4 – "Solidarnist", 3 – "KMKS" 2 – "United Center".

Final data on the newly elected heads of villages and towns in Vynogradiv district. Thus, among the 32 heads of villages and towns, we have three women (Velyki Komiaty, Matiyevo, Mala Kopanya), the rest are men. The oldest head is 62 years old (Velyka Kopanya), the youngest is 27 (Perekhrestya).  All candidates for village heads were self-nominated, except Oleshnytsya (from the BPP "Solidarnist").  Among the newly elected heads, 5 are temporarily unemployed (Drotyntsi, Matiyevo, Novoselytsia, Pidvynohradiv, Chornotysovo).  15 current village heads were re-elected.

Vynogradiv district council.

From now on, there will be less deputies of our district council – 36. Previously there were 64. The newly elected Vynogradiv district council comprises of five political parties that passed the 5-percent barrier. The "United Center" will have the majority in the district council – 9, "Vidrodzhennya" – 8, BPP "Solidarnsit" – 8, "KMKS" – 7, Democratic Party of Hungarians of Ukraine – 4. By the way, our youngest district deputy is 25 years old, the oldest one is 61, there are five women, six temporarily unemployed among them.

Among the newly elected 64 deputies of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, there are 6 residents of Vynogradiv nominated by the following political forces: "United Center" (1), "Bloc of Petro Poroshenko "Solidarnist" (2), "Vidrodzhennya" (1), "KMKS" Party of Hungarians of Ukraine ( 2).
