In Uzhgorod, wine festival will not take place. But in Beregovo and Mukachevo, there will be wine, and geese, and lanterns
For unknown reasons the traditional festival of wine "Transcarpathian Beaujolais" in Uzhgorod has been canceled.
The City Hall did not explain the reasons for this decision. Neither they gave an answer to tourists who were going to vist the holiday, which until this year has been an annual event.
However, those, who want to taste young wine and have a bit of fun, will not be disappointed in Transcarpathia.
Thus, two holidays are scheduled for the next weekend - 13 and 14 of November. They take place "under the auspices" of Saint Martin. The event in honor of the patron was launched a few years ago in Mukachevo. Soon, Beregovo joined it too.
In Mukachevo, the holiday will be special - it will feature theatrical performance with fire, a procession with improvised lanterns, and so on. The IV Mukachevo city festival "Day of St. Martin in Mukachevo" will be held from 13 to 15 of November. Details and the program will be announced later.
And one of the capitals of winemaking - Beregovo - will arrange a wine and culinary festival. They invite to the Festival of wine and goose dishes.
In the center of the city, on Kossuth and Heroyi squares, an original program will take place - not only wine tasting, but also entertainment, such as contests "Goose grazing" and "Miss Goose". The culmination of the celebrations will be the contest and a parade of homemade lanterns.
Both festivals will begin on Saturday, November 13, about 10-11 o'clock.
