Attention! A new procedure for the use of gas at a reduced price
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced a new procedure for the use of gas at a reduced price. Each family, that uses gas for heating, receives 1,200 cu. m. of gas at 3.6 UAH per 1 cu. m. for the 6 months of the heating period. That is, consumers can "carry over" unused volumes of gas at a reduced price to the following months.
In order to ensure social security of citizens for the period from October 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016, the Government has established a reduced maximum retail price for natural gas used by household for individual heating or in complex in the amount of 3.6 UAH per 1 cu. m. for the first 200 cubic meters of natural gas used during a month.
However, by the Decree No. 872 of October 30, 2015, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine changed the procedure for the use of gas at a reduced price during the heating season. From now on, the price of 3.6 UAH per 1 cu. m. of gas will be applied for 1,200 cubic meters which will be consumed for the period from October 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016. For any consumed gas volume in excess of 1,200 cubic meters, consumers shall pay the full price - 7.188 UAH per 1 cu. m. of gas. For example, a consumer used 1,500 cubic meters of gas for the 6 months of the heating period, the amount payable will be 6,476.4 UAH: 1200 cubic meters x 3.6 UAH = 4,320 UAH, 300 cubic meters x 7.188 UAH = 2,156.4 UAH.
For customers, who use natural gas for cooking or cooking and water heating, the base price of gas - 7.188 UAH per 1 cu. m. - will be applied throughout the year.
