Weapons and ammunition was found at the checkpoint in Transcarpathia
At the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", border guards of the Chop detachment together with customs officers found weapons and ammunition. They were assisted by a service dog trained to search for such items.
The prohibited items were carried by a citizen of Ukraine driving a minibus "Mercedes". During the control, the search dog immediately responded to the car, leading to its in-depth inspection. In the cabin, under the driver's and passenger's seats, the checkpoint workers found a gas pistol and nearly 1,400 foreign rounds of 7.62 mm caliber.
They were handed to the Security Service of Ukraine to find out all circumstances.
