Transcarpathian orienteers brought awards from Slovakia (PHOTOS)
The team of the Transcarpathian center of tourism and sports for school youth took part in the open orienteering championship of the Kosice region. The competition was held during two days in the Slansk mountains. In addition to representatives of the eastern Slovak clubs, orienteers from Estonia took part in the competition.
Both young athletes and their parents - experienced athletes, participants of national and international championships - took part in the competition
Despite the cold biting wind and difficult terrain, Transcarpathians did very well. Vladislav (M-10) and Katerina Tsepurdeys (F-12), Igor Frantsuzov (M-45), Andriy Lozitsky (M-45) and Oleksandr Tsepurdey (M-55) became the winners in their age categories.
Silver awards were handed to Daryna Lozitska (F-12), Nina Tsepurdey (F-12), Vladislav Frantsuzov (M-18) and Lyudmila Grishko (F-35). Bronze awards went to Karina (F-10) and Arthur Svatkos (M-18), and Marina Frantsuzova (F-35).
