On March 21, on the day of the 330th anniversary of the birth of German composer JS Bach, an unprecedented musical event was held in Lviv - the "Bach Marathon" which the Transcarpathian Academic Chamber Choir "Cantus" participated in along with nearly 600 performers from Ukraine and abroad.

The musicians brought part of the Lviv holiday to Uzhgorod. On March 22, on the stage of the Regional Philharmonic, the choir "Cantus" performed together with the Academic Youth Symphony Orchestra "INSO-Lviv" under the direction of Ivan Ostapovych.

As for participation in the "Bach Marathon", the artistic director of the choir "Cantus" Emil Sokach, remarked: "The announced duration of the event - 24 hours - in fact reached 30 hours. Actually, the scale of the musical marathon, and its very atmosphere exceeded all expectations. It was great!".

Lviv "Bach Marathon" was entered in the Book of Records of Ukrain as the longest-running musical flashmob. All participants of the historical event were awarded with diplomas.
