The Cabinet did not extend the emergency measures in the electricity market

On Wednesday, the Cabinet decided not to extend emergency measures in the electricity market for another month.

This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, the "Ukrainski Novyny" informed. 

According to the press service, the decision on extension was not adopted on Wednesday, because the regulator (the National commission for regulation of energy and utilities) did not provide all information.

However, the Cabinet intends to revisit this issue on following meetings.

As reported, on February 25, the Cabinet extended emergency measures in the electricity market for one month.

The Cabinet, first introduced temporary emergency measures in the electricity market of Ukraine in August 2014 by the Resolution №764.

Since then, the Cabinet has been extending temporary emergency measures in the electricity market each month.
