Master classes in Easter egg making will take place in Uzhgorod (Announcement)
In our time, Easter egg making has been preserved and is developing thanks to the masters of the older generation in many ancient centers of this art form. Easter eggs are sold at fairs, art salons. The original ornament of Easter eggs not only fascinates with its elegance, miniature, color harmony, it also bears the oldest symbols of nature and understanding of the world, unites with the tradition of the past. Ukrainian Easter egg in the world is a symbol of our nation.
The process of Easter egg painting is applying a pattern on the egg with a melted wax. Dried wax sticks tightly to the egg, protecting it from paint. Therefore, when we are working with an white egg - the surface under the wax will remain white, when working with already painted egg - the surface will have a color of the applied paint. Each subsequent time, the egg is dipped in a darker color, up to black. Every time after applying a new color, those lines and segments that should be of that color are covered with wax.
The participants of the Easter egg painting workshops will be able to learn about the meaning of the symbols and to learn to paint Easter eggs using traditional patterns. Choosing an egg model, each participant creates his or her own work of art, perhaps not as sophisticated as that of the master, but a unique one.
The price includes a master class on Easter egg painting, accessories for painting (stylus, dyes, beeswax, candle). Note: you will be able to buy the stylus that you use.
You will also have an opportunity to take part in workshops on making of non-traditional Easter eggs of fabric or felt, original cross-stitched wooden Easter eggs.
