In Ukraine, there are nearly 2 million unemployed

The unemployment rate in Ukraine, as calculated by the ILO methodology, in 2014 was 9.7%.

This was written by the UNIAN referring to the State Statistics Service.

According to the ILO, as of the beginning of 2014, the unemployment rate was 9% of the economically active population. As noted, the assessment for the year does not include information on the Crimea.

In absolute terms, the number of unemployed in the whole country at the end of 2014 was 1.8 million.

It was reported that the unemployment rate in Ukraine defined by ILO methodology, in the 3rd quarter of 2014 was 9.3%, while for the first 9 months of 2013 the figure was 7.7%.

According to Ukrainian statistics, the unemployment rate in Ukraine in 2014 amounted to 1.9% of the workforce.
