In Transcarpathia, 891 special pensioners will not be receiving pensions

"Starting from the first of April, it's either salary, or special pension" - these innovations were announced at the briefing by the head of the Pension Fund Office in Transcarpathian region Anastasia Penttek. "By March 31, such persons have to retire if they want to continue to receive special pensions. Currently, in the region, 891 people are working and receiving special pensions at the same time. In general, there are almost 3.5 thousand special pensioners in the region" - the head of the regional Pension Fund Office informed. 

As for the scientists, this category of special pensioners that continue working will be entitled to receive it in the amount of 85% of the pension calculated not according to the special law, but according to the general pension law. 

Also, starting from April, those pensioners, that work and receive pensions over 1,423 UAH, will also be receiving only 85% of the pension. As of today, there are 282.5 thousand pensioners in the region, of which 47.1 thousand still work (16.7% of the total).14 thousand pensioners in the region will be receiving a reduced pension.
