Carriers will be obliged to undergo compulsory licensing from 2017
Compulsory licensing of passenger and cargo carriers will come into force on January 1, 2017.
This was announced during the meeting of the Government Commission on Emergency Situations by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Andriy Pivovarsky, the UNIAN reported.
"Compulsory licensing of passenger and cargo carriers will come into force on January 1, 2017. Currently, there is no such licensing" - the Minister said.
Also, Pivovarsky noted that carriers, whose transport will not meet the technical standards, will not be licensed and will not able to provide transportation services in Ukraine.
As reported, on Monday, March 16, at the meeting of the Government Commission on Emergency Situations, the Prime Minister Yatsenyuk announced a number of measures to improve safety on the roads, in particular, he expressed readiness to invite German experts to selectively control the quality of Ukrainian roads and supervise their repair.
