Because of a child's jokes, two schools in Transcarpathia were evacuated

On Thursday, March 12, in the city of Irshava in Transcarpathian region, law enforcement officers received a report of a bomb in the school. The anonymous caller did not specify which educational institution was mined, therefore all services - rescuers, firefighters, police and paramedics - arrived to both city schools.

This was reported by the UNN citing Irshava City Council.

800 students, teachers and maintenance staff were evacuated from the two Irshava secondary schools № 1 and №2.

Experts examined the school premises and surrounding areas. The police bomb squad found no explosive items.

The investigative team of Irshava District Police was working at the scene and, as a result of operational search activities, determined that the call had been made by a student of Bilky school №1.

Explaining the reason for his action, the student said he had done it for fun.
