Ukraine wants to increase reverse gas through Slovakia
Kyiv expects further cooperation with Slovakia and increase of technological capabilities of reverse gas supplies from Slovakia.
This was announced by the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn at the meeting with the Ambassador of Slovakia in Ukraine Juraj Sivacek, the "Interfax-Ukraine" reported.
The Head of the Department of European Integration of the Ministry Mykhailo Bno-Airian, who attendted the meeting, said that in 2015 Ukraine had already received from Slovakia more than 4.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas, and technological capability of its supply amounts to 40 million cubic meters per day.
Demchyshyn also noted that Ukrain ensures reliable and uninterrupted transit of oil in the main oil pipeline "Druzhba", particularly to Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
According to him, Ukraine stands for maximum transparency in transit and is ready to provide all necessary information to the European partners.
In turn, the Ambassador Sivacek informed about the project of building the pipeline Bratislava (Slovakia) - Schwechat (Austria).
