The Regional Office for Reforms starts operating in Transcarpathia

The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal on Wednesday, 6th of May, during a press conference presented the journalists the head of the Regional Office for Reforms Ivan Demianchuk. 

"The main task of the office is to promote the reform of local self-government and territorial organization of power in Ukraine", - the newly appointed official said. Experts will provide the RSA with organizational, advisory, informational support to create the territorial basis of local self-government at the basic level.

 "In the first stage, the Office for Reforms together with the Regional State Administration, local authorities will be deal developing the project of the regional plan of capable communities formation. It will also give working groups at the regional and district state administrations the guidelines for the formation of such communities "- Ivan Demianchuk said.

He said that the regional working groups should develop a roadmap to be adopted at the session of the regional council, and then submitted for approval to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Such offices for reforms will operate in each of the 23 regions of Ukraine.
