The Ecoinspectorate is monitoring the liquidation of the disaster in Velyky Berezny district
The State Ecological Inspectorate in Transcarpathian region continues to monitor the situation near the village of Tykhy in Velyky Berezny district caused by depressurization of the branch from an unauthorized tie-in in the pipeline of the SE "PrikarpatZakhidTrans."
Thus, May 22, 2015, the State Ecological Inspectorate in Transcarpathian region made a second visit to the site of emergency pollution. The emergency crew of the line operations control station "Dubrynichi" of the SE "PrikarpatZkhidTrans" continue to work to eliminate the consequences of depressurization of the unauthorized tie-in branch. In order to absorb spilled petroleum product, the biodestructor sorbent "Econadin" is used at the Tykhy stream
To assess the effectiveness of measures to eliminate pollution of surface waters, state environmental protection inspectors of Transcarpathian region took 10 samples. According to the results of instrumental and laboratory tests, the concentration of oil in the Tykhy stream downstream the place of emergency exceeds the maximum permissible level. Oil content in surface waters of the Uzh river does not exceed the maximum permissible concentration for water bodies of appropriate category.
The State Ecological Inspectorate will be informing the public about the further course of the liquidation of the emergency consequences.
