Tomorrow, Sunday, May 24, Uzhgorod Roman Catholics will receive a wonderful gift – illumination of the church of St. George.
This was reported by the activist Roman Bohuslavsky on his page on Facebook. On Friday, all the necessary works at the height of 10-16 meters were completed. Then they tested the illumination, made sure that everything works properly and turned it off.
Today, they will be performing installation of illumination on the central tower and the cross. "If we manage to finish today, on Sunday, the great Catholic holiday, the Catholics will receive a great present" – Roman Bohuslavsky promises.
The activist stressed that this project is an example of how any works should be coordinated with the public opinion. Thus, the works are supervised by architect Petro Szarvas, church representatives control the whole process, and the works are performed by the firm that has experience in such activities.
