The Chairman of the Regional Council inspected the progress of school repairs in Uzhgorod

The Chairman of the Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko today visited two educational institutions that are being repaired at the expense of the regional budget. First, the Chairman of the Regional Council inspected the construction works in the school №3. Here, the facade is being renovated. The works are financed from the regional, municipal budgets and with the financial support of the Czech Vysocina. It is one of 20 investment projects that Transcarpathia implements jointly with the Czech Vysocina region.   The region and the city allocated 400,000 UAH for the work. Another 400,000 UAH will be allocated for the arrangement of the sports ground.

The school was built in 1932 at the expense of the Czechoslovak government as a public school. From 1935 to 1938, it was a high school named after TG Masaryk, which was popularly called "Masaryk school." Students of the school study Russian, English and several other languages. Since 2013, they have been also studying Czech.

After that, Volodymyr Chubirko inspected the reconstruction of the facade of "Uzhgorod economic lyceum - school №9". 500 thousand for the work was allocated from the regional budget, 1.1 million - from the city budget. Another 135 thousand will be allocated to repair the roof.

Overall, 5.3 million hryvnia has been allocated from the regional budget this year for educational institutions of the city. Primarily, it is allocation of funds for the installation of energy-saving technologies - replacement of windows, insulation of facades.
