More than a photo... The exhibition features more than 160 photographs (Announcement, photos)

The exhibition of the "Den" newspaper opens in Uzhgorod on May 14. 

The last year one of the most difficult years in modern history of Ukraine. Maidan, Russia's annexation of Crimea, the war in the east... But life goes on, despite the incredible losses, Ukraine is being hardened and definitely will become even stronger after this trial. The life of Ukraine in the past year is depicted in photos, the authors of which (both professional photographers and amateurs) reflect the cumulative artistic image of Ukraine. Each photo is the story of a specific person, the emotions of the nation, the desires... Traditionally, creative achievements of the best photographers in the of the country are presented at the photo exhibition of the newspaper "Den".

May 14 at 15:00, in the building of the Transcarpathian Art Museum named after J. Bokshay at Zhupanatska Sq., 3, there will be the opening of the photo exhibition "Day-2014" in Uzhgorod. Uzhgorod is the sixth city that invited us this year. Before that, the exhibition of the "Den" has visited Odessa, Poltava, Cherkasy, Lutsk and Lviv. The exhibition, as well as new books "Ukraine Incognita. TOP-25", which is a continuation of the series "Library of the "Den" newspaper", will be presened by the chief editor of the "Den" Larysa Ivshyna. At 11:30, there will be the meeting with the chief editor on the topic "How do we win?" in the administration building of Uzhgorod National University (meeting hall of the Academic Council).




Traditionally, all exhibition visitors will serve as the jury by giving their votes for the most interesting, in their opinion, photographs. On the closing day of the exhibition, based on the results of the voting, the winner of the People's Choice title in Uzhgorod will be announced. Pictures can be bought at the office of the newspaper. 

The exhibition will run from 14 to 31 of May, 2015.

The admission is free. Monday is a day off.
