In Uzhgorod district, a serial thief was arrested
Detectives of Uzhgorod district police caught a 27-year-old resident of Uzhgorod, who had committed almost thirty thefts in the district.
In Uzhgorod district, over the past months, an unknown person was robbing local residents' apartments. The targets of night raids were new buildings, country houses and garages. Construction materials, power tools, everything, that is easy to sell, would be stolen.
Eventually, the elusive thief was arrested by detectives of Uzhgorod district police. It was a 27-year-old resident of Uzhgorod.
As law enforcement officers found out, the thief was also working as a taxi driver. He used his taxi to drive "to work". For storing stolen goods, he would rent garages, which he would often change. Thus he managed to commit almost thirty thefts.
Some thefts were committed by the taxi driver together with his accomplice, who had previously been caught by the policemen during the commission of a burglary.
Investigators of Uzhgorod District Police Department launched criminal proceedings against the the 27-year-old Uzhgorod resident under Part 3 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (burglary). The pretrial restraint against him is being determined. The pretrial investigation continues.
