In Transcarpathia, it is planned to provide recreation services to more than 35 thousand children

This year, in Transcarpathia, it is planned to provide health care and recreation services to more than 35 thousand children. This is slightly more than 30% of the total amount. 5,300 children will be covered with health careservices, and more than 30,000 - with recreation services.

According to the head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Denys Man, this year's recreation campaign is complicated by the limited financial capabilities of local budgets and increased cost of vouchers to health facilities. They plan to improve the situation with the financing at the expense of the regional budget and funds from sponsors and charitable institutions and organizations.

Orphans, children deprived of parental care, children from large and poor families, disabled children, talented and gifted students will have a priority. This year, special attention will be paid to kids from families of the soldiers killed in the east, from the families of the mobilized soldiers and IDPs.

According to the latest data, in the summer, 26 inpatient health care establishments will be working in the region. In addition, recreation services will be provided by 223 camps with day stay at general educational institutions of the region, where almost 22 thousand Transcarpathian boys and girls will be staying under the supervision of teachers. Also, there will be 7 campings in the region.

According to the official, this year the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine initiated a new project - summer language camps. Their main purpose is quality learning of foreign languages and promotion of European integration of Ukraine. In Transcarpathia, there will be 78 such camps where 4,500 children will have the opportunity to communicate in foreign languages: English, German, French, Hungarian, Romanian and even Polish, Czech and Slovak. In Beregovo district, they decided to use this opportunity to improve knowledge of Ukrainian. Creative activity in language schools for two weeks will be ensured by experienced teachers and volunteers. Students' stay in such camps is paid for from the budget.
