In Transcarpathia, 40 thousand fries of rare salmon species will be released into mountain rivers
The river fishering campaign, held annually by the "RENER" group, continues in Transcarpathia Tributaries of the rivers in six villages of three districts in Transcarpathia are being fishered with hutchlings of rare salmon species - namely the brook trout.
More than 30,000 fries have been released into rivers of Tyachiv district, and this year also in Rakhiv district. The next in plan is the Shypit river in Perechyn district. Overall, they plan to release 40,000 fries. The measures began on May 6 and will be completed on May 12.
This year's campaign has also an educational aspect: for the first time, pupils of the school forestries at forest husbandries in every district take part in the fishering.
