An illegal car deal was exposed on the border with Hungary

The car swindler was caught by border guards and customs officers performing their duties at the international checkpoint "Chop (Tisa)."

Driving a passenger car "Skoda" (released in 1999) with Slovak license plates, our compatriot was returning from Hungary to Ukraine. While checking the authorizing documents for operation of the vehicle, border guards suspected a possible forgery of the power of attorney. Based on the latter, border guards sent the notary, who supposedly issued this power of attorney, a request to establish the validity of the said document. The answer that came from abroad confirmed that the said notarial power of attorney was forged.

The car was confiscated according to the law. Its cost is estimated at nearly 64,000 UAH.
