“We must prepare for war in order to stop it” – Viktor Baloha

"Sooner or later it had to happen. From now on, not only Putin and Lavrov, but also the representatives of the EU publicly ask us to give "special status" for the "DPR" and "LPR". The pressure on Ukraine increases both from the East and the West" – MP Viktor Baloha wrote on his page on facebook.

The politician appeals to the President: "What we need to do? To prepare for war in order to stop it."

"Today there are two scenarios to resolve the conflict:

1. If "DPR" and "LPR" consider themselves an integral part of Ukraine, we give them one month to return uncontrolled territories under the jurisdiction of the laws of Ukraine. Without any conditions from them.

2. To put a border around these entities according to all international standards.

If "DPR" and "LPR" do not accept the first option, and the European Union and the Russian Federation protest against the other one, but most likely it will be so, then there is one way out – to show politicians in Brussels and Moscow that they are dealing not with the leadership of the state, but with the people of Ukraine, who do not want federalization and "people’s police" on tanks.

Therefore, it must not be the decision of the Parliament or the President.   It must be the decision of the people adopted at the national referendum.

In this regard, the President has to initiate a national plebiscite to make it clear what Ukraine, and not the government, Moscow or Brussels, wants.

Otherwise, Mr. President, you will not withstand the pressure. It is a matter of time. Quick decisions are needed, and the people, as always, will support these actions to preserve the unity of the country", – V. Baloha stressed.
