Yesterday, May 31, the boxing competition, which had lasted the whole week, finished in Uzhgorod. Recall that Uzhgorod hosted the boxing championship of Ukraine among boys born 2001-2002 for the first time...
Despite that, the competition was organized at a decent level.
Transcarpathians demonstrated their boxing skills at the highest level. Our region now has two champions of Ukraine.
They are Yuriy Popelich - in the weight category 41.5 kg, and Lyubomir Kanalosh - category 54 kg.
Another five Transcarpathians received prizes at this competition.
The winners were awarded by the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko, the President of the Boxing Federation of Transcarpathian region Andriy Stryzhak and the 1st Vice President of the Boxing Federation of Transcarpathian region, Mykhailo Danylo.
"I am very glad that the nationwide competition is held in Uzhgorod. We are honored to host the championship of this level. The organizers did their best and everything went very well. I am sure, if boxing in Transcarpathia keeps developing at such a pace, soon we will have Olympic champions from the Silver Land", - the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko said.
