Transcarpathian pension fund workers studied the comprehensive reform of pensions

On Wednesday, June 3, at the session hall of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, there was the seminar which dealt with the comprehensive reform of pensions.

The head of the Main Office of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region Anastasia Pentek and her deputy Galina Maslyakevych told the seminar participants about the purpose and objectives of the comprehensive reform of the pension system.

During their speeches, the officials stressed that the reform envisages appointment of all pensions under rules of a single law, the abolition of special pensions (except military ones), the introduction of mandatory funded pension system, the introduction of professional pension system for certain categories and the development of private pensions.

As noted by Anastasia Pentek, the bill provides that people under 35 will be subject to compulsory insurance in funded pension system, persons aged 36 to 55 will be able to participate voluntarily. The state will control preservation and use of the funded system fund.

The participants of teh event concluded that reform of the pension system ingeneral would enable each citizen to shape their future in the form of individual pension savings on their own pension accounts, promote legalization of wages.

 Anastasia Pentek also stressed that the reform would promote the legalization of wages and will become a driver of investment in Ukraine's economy.
