The Chairman of the Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko met with the ministerial commissioner, executive director of the Hungarian development center Antal Kiss and people's deputy of Ukraine Vasyl Brenzovych. The meeting was also attended by the first Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council Mykhailo Popovich and the Consul General of Hungary in Uzhgorod Jozsef Bochkai. They discussed the development of new cross-border projects.

Volodymyr Chubirko noted that our region is interested in new projects of cooperation with neighboring regions of Hungary. "Recently we have signed the protocol of cooperation with the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg region. We are interested in grant projects of the EU, common position when filing applications. We have won our way to Europe and now we need experience on this way. Transcarpathia can become a bridge to Europe, and first and foremost through new contacts with the European regions", - the Chairman of the Regional Council said.
