This is the first visit of the Minister to the region.Laszlo Trochani was appointed as the Minister of Justice in June 2014. Doctor of Law, Professor. He worked on diplomatic posts: in 2000-2004 - the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to the Kingdom of Belgium and Luxembourg, in 2010-2014 - in France.

"The Minister of Justice of Hungary Laszlo Trochani is visiting the region. Vasyl Hubal and I had a meeting with him. I said that we particularly appreciate the help from Hungary under the EU Eastern Partnership program. It is an important factor that allows to improve social infrastructure, to create the right conditions for the development of education, medicine and culture. I suggested the Minister to encourage the exchange of experience in all possible areas between state authorities, local government, public associations, other institutions, transfer and implementation of European standards in public administration and local government.
It is equally important to intensify work on cooperation between higher education institutions, including law schools. This would contribute to the process of reform in the justice sector at the regional level.

After that, I invited Mr. Minister to walk the historic city center, explore the architectural heritage of Uzhgorod. We visited churches, the castle, the museum of folk architecture. Laszlo Trochani was impressed by Transcarpathia. He also made a conclusion, which he shared with the Ukrainian partners:Transcarpathia is safe. Safe for Hungarian tourists. Safe for Hungarian investors, that he will invite to our region. We thank Mr. Minister for this initiative and support for our community", - the Chairman of the Regional Council wrote on his page in Facebook.
