The Chairman of the Regional Council met with countrymen

The Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council met with countrymen who need significant resources for treatment. The people will receive funds for treatment under the regional program "Care".

"Today, I met with countrymen who have sought help because they have found themselves in extremely difficult situations. Most of them or their relatives need considerable resources for urgent operations, some of them abroad. These are people who need money for cancer treatment, bone marrow transplantation. Recently, we adopted the decision to allocate UAH 2 million 444 thousand UAH for eight seriously ill Transcarpathians under the regional program "Care". Those are residents from all over the region. People have already received most of the amount.I urged them not to give bribes to doctors. Unfortunately, people are forced to raise funds themselves through social networks and media. Often, patients are forced to sell their property in order to raise funds for treatment. Such is "free" medicine in Ukraine.

At the session, we allocated UAH 4.2 million to provide one-time financial aid for urgent transplant operations outside Ukraine, treatment of seriously ill patients. The Ministry of Health for unknown reasons does not pay enough attention to the problems of seriously ill patients. Therefore, desperate people turn to local authorities with their problems. We will continue to help Transcarpathians. Together with MPs from Transcarpathia, we are responsible for Transcarpathian community. Here, we are not waiting for reforms from the center, we solve complex problems ourselves," - Volodymyr Chubirko wrote on his page in facebook.
