The Antimonopoly Committee fined the “Zakarpatavtotrans”

Transcarpathian regional territorial office of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has completed proceedings for violation of legislation on protection of economic competition by the "Zakarpatavtotrans" PJSC.

According to the head of the office Pavlo Kalinich, by the decision of the administrative board, the actions of the "Zakarpatavtotrans" Public Joint Stock Company for termination of sale of tickets to privileged categories of citizens at the ticket offices of bus stations in the region, starting from February 20 this year, is contrary to the Law of Ukraine "On Automobile Transport" and the Rules of transport services provision, were recognized as a violation of legislation on economic competition protection, namely abuse of dominant market position by refusing to sell goods in the absence of alternative sources of acquisition.

         The violator was fined 68,000 UAH.
