Once again: “Zakarpattyaoblenergo” vs “Vodokanal Uzhgoroda”

The "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC apealed to the MU "Vodokanal m. Uzhgoroda" with the request to repay debts for electricity

Yesterday, June 23, the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC sent a letter to the MU "Vodokanal m. Uzhgoroda" with the request to repay the debt for the consumed energy, because accumulation of debts creates a significant threat to a stabilty of the energy system in Transcarpathian region. A copy of the request was sent to Uzhgorod city council. 

As stated in the letter, the tendency for accumulation of debts of the MU "Vodokanal m. Uzhgoroda" to the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC for electricity remains.

The request states: "From month to month, the debts of the MU "Vodokanal m. Uzhgoroda" to the energy company for consumed energy have been accumulating. As of 01.06.2015, it exceeds UAH 2 million, excluding the current charges. In June, the utility company was billed UAH 2,305 thousand, and if no measures to repay the debt are taken. it may exceed the critical limit.  

Given the above, we demand:

– To pay existing debts in accordance with the existing contractual terms;

– If it is not possible to pay the debt due to lack of available funds, to take measures according to Part 9, Art. 26 of the Law of Ukraine "On Electric Power Industry", namely: to reduce current electricity consumption to the level of the actual payment for electricity consumed. 

 If this request is not fulfilled, the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC will be forced to completely terminate the supply of electric energy to the facilities of the MU "Vodokanal m. Uzhgoroda", – the letter reads.
