A friendly competition between young swimmers from Uzhgorod, Kyiv and Boryspil titled "Hooray! Holidays" took place recently.

For the first time, the sports club "Na Start" founded by the coach Vadim Kolechko in April held a competition for young swimmers of this level.

He believes that children need to swim. And it is necessary to develop this sport is in Transcarpathia.

Children aged 8 to 12 years took part in the competition demonstrating their abilities in several swimming styles: breaststroke and backstroke on a 50 meters distance, medley, freestyle and butterfly - on a 100 meters distance.  The highlight of the event was that a swimming coach, Olympic champion of 1980 Serhiy Fesenko brought his pupils to the regional center of Transcarpathia.

Young swimmers compete in Transcarpathia not for the first time. However, the newly created sports club "Na Start" plans to hold similar competitions between children from all over Ukraine and from abroad more often.
