Public hearings on the sale of the city property will be held in Uzhgorod. 

This was announced on his page on facebook by a representative of the NGO "Public convention," public activist Yuriy Svitlyk. 

"Given the constant attempts of local authorities to steal the property of the community before the election, we initiated and undertook the organization of public hearings on the privatization of the city communal property in 2015. As a result, Pogorelov was forced to set a date and time of the hearing. The order is HERE (ed.)

With the intention to adopt decisions on the privatization at the next session on June 5, the city authorities hastened to appoint the hearing on June 3, probably realizing that activists will not allow the city council to adopt the decision without public discussion. They hope that after the holidays, in early summer, people will show no activity, which will allow them to adopt the necessary resolution using their own people and "controlled activists" (recall: the resolution of public hearings has to be considered at the session), which will end up in sale of 48 facilities (including the monuments in the historic part of the city) to city hucksters for nothing.

Only active community of Uzhgorod can prevent this scenario. I urge Uzhgorod residents to take part in the hearings and prevent the theft of the city property by the current authorities.
