Famous for extraordinary beautiful scenery and numerous museums Kolochava is confidently striding into the future with the fame of one of the most attractive tourist villages in Transcarpathia.
Each year, the village organizes various attractions to promote recreation in the region. Recently, the first festival of beer took place with great success here and, according to the visitors, already made it into the list of the most attractive festivals in Transcarpathia.
During the beer festival, dozens of Czech brewers were treating guests with a real Czech beer and various national delicacies cooked on the grill.
The event was initiated by the Czechs themselves, as the main purpose of the event is to attract the attention of tourists to the village, and to encourage Czech tourists to come to Kolochava again, as because of the tragic events in Ukraine, last year there were very few of them.
The festival was held with the participation of the Consul General of the Czech Republic in Lviv Miroslav Klim and the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic Otto Kovchar.
According to the popular vote, the best brewer and the most delicious beer of the festival were determined - the Czech Daniel Vasa won with his beers "Pilsner" and "Honey".
The key event of the celebration was the opening of the "Path to Mykola Shuhay" - the road to the grave of Kolochava opryshok arranged by local activists.
"The festival was successfully launched and was attended by hundreds of locals, tourists, visitors from the Czech Republic - Kolochava village head, one of the organizers of the festival Vasyl Khudynets says. - The event again drew attention to the village, to its extraordinary tourism opportunities. Tourist attractiveness of the territory is formed primarily in the presence of natural or historical and cultural tourism resources, or even better - with their combination. Kolochava is a prime example of harmonious coexistence of natural beauty and rich historical and cultural heritage."
The success of the Czech beer festival inspired the organizers to make it a tradition. Also, everyone will be able to try Czech beer in August, at the festival of Ukrainian-Czech culture "Kolochava echo of Tereblya Valley."
