The cooperation of Transcarpathian border guards with their Hungarian colleagues is not only in ensuring reliable protection of common border. This was proven during the international meeting of representative of the Border Commissioners of Ukraine and Hungary, which took place on June 24 in Uzhgorod.
After discussing the issues of border cooperation and implementation of joint plans for measures to protect the state border, representatives of the Hungarian police performed a charitable mission. Ten border quards from Chop and Mukachevo detachments, who performed their constitutional duty in the ATO area, received vouchers for rehabilitation for their children in a summer camp in Nyiregyhaza (Hungary). The Deputy Chief of the Police of Szabolcs-Satmar-Bereg region, colonel of police, Dr. Zsolt Hudak, who handed the vouchers, noted that the Hungarian police appreciates the cooperation with Ukrainian border guards and deeply respects those soldiers who have to serve in the east of Ukraine in combat conditions. Also, Mr. Hudak said that the Hungarian party would make every effort to make recreation for Ukrainian children as useful and memorable as possible.
In turn, the head of the Chop border guard detachment colonel Serhiy Kren thanked the Hungarian colleagues on behalf of all Transcarpathian border guards for this token of respect and generosity and said that such actions are a good example of good neighborliness.
