Advisor to Saakashvili: "Uzhgorod city council is stuck in 1970"

Adviser to former president of Georgia, and now the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili, Ilo Hlonti spoke at the session of the City Council of Uzhgorod today, June 19.

This was reported by the Zaholovok.

He was present when the controversial decision on urban planning documentation was being adopted.

"I ask you to thinak about why dozens of people died on the Maidan. About what Ukrainians, Georgians and even Russians re fighting in the East for. For freedom, against the Soviet past. I wondered: what makes this meeting different from any meeting in 1970? I did not see any differences, probably nothing," - the Georgian said.

The speech of Ilo Hlonti before the deputies was interrupted with exclamations from the audience, so he thanked for the attention and finished the speech.

By the way, during the speech, some deputies left the session hall.
